Case studies from clients we've helped grow
Bottom-of-funnel content is our focus, but most clients need more than comparison pages. These case studies show the full range: positioning, messaging, lifecycle emails, ads, and customer stories, alongside the BoFu work that drives ready-to-buy traffic.
How a new comparison-content strategy helped Hyperping 2x MRR growth rate
Before working with us, Hyperping had hired an experienced SaaS SEO agency. They grew traffic, but the comparison and best-of content that should have brought in buyers was getting as little as a handful of clicks per quarter.
- Fixed technical SEO issues and cleaned up the website
- Updated the ICP, positioning, pricing, and messaging
- Created a new structure for comparison content, built to rank, get cited by AI assistants, and convert
- Rewrote existing comparison guides and produced new bottom-of-the-funnel pages
- Tracked signups, paying customers, and MRR alongside search performance
Results
- MRR growth rate doubled year over year
- Grew clicks on comparison and best-of content by more than 7x
- Moved the average position of existing BoFu content from the mid-40s to single digits
- Kept MRR growing during months that had previously seen sharp slowdowns

Leo Baecker
Founder @ Hyperping
I needed a boost of traffic, a clearer overview of the strategy and a direction which Nicolas quickly established early on.
I worked with agencies in the past where writers changed month after month with no coherent follow-up. With Nicolas, I get better results at the fraction of the cost, on top of being personal.
I genuinely see him as part of the team. Tracking is on point and measurable. Views are skyrocketing and conversions are following.
How Refiner increased ARPU by 46% with sharper positioning
Moritz came to us in 2021 after reading a guide we had written about B2B SaaS surveys. He was building a new website for Refiner and wanted help with the copy.
We started with the positioning:
- Analyzed the competition
- Interviewed customers to identify Refiner’s best-fit customers
- Positioned the product for SaaS companies
- Updated the pricing around the new ICP
- Created a messaging guide
We then turned that strategy into content:
- Wrote copy for 20+ website and comparison pages
- Created customer stories from the interviews
- Made lead magnets for visitors who weren’t ready to buy
As the collaboration grew, we took on more of the customer journey:
- Rewrote the lifecycle email sequences
- Started managing Google and LinkedIn ads
- Created dedicated landing pages for the ad campaigns
- Made more comparison pages
We’ve worked together ever since. In 2026, we reworked the website with a new design, expanded positioning, and new copy.
Results
- Increased ARPU (average revenue per user) by 46% and grew expansion MRR after the strategy update
- Increased the onboarding sequence’s average click rate by 225% and its average open rate by 17.9% while doubling the number of emails
- Cut Google Ads spend by 42.4% while increasing click rate by 216.6% after we took over management
- 4x the conversion rate after we created dedicated landing pages for the ads

Moritz Dausinger
Founder @ Refiner
What impresses me most with Nicolas is how his research-led approach to writing BoFu content has such a wide range of use cases and benefits.
It gave me the information I needed to have the confidence to successfully change pricing and positioning strategies.
My SEO consultant also uses the customer interviews conducted to inform the SEO strategy. Not only that, but I even got new insights from these interviews that allowed me to improve the product.

How comparison pages brought Abyssale 300 qualified organic visitors a month
Alessandro came to us after seeing the website copy we had written for Refiner. Abyssale already had a direction for the product, so our job was to sharpen the positioning and turn it into clear messaging and pages.
- Interviewed the internal team to understand the product and how they wanted to position it
- Analyzed competitors to see how they described themselves and where Abyssale could stand apart
- Studied competitors’ G2 reviews to find the strengths customers valued and the problems they complained about
- Used that research to develop the website messaging
- Wrote comparison pages for people already weighing Abyssale against other tools
- Created a reusable comparison page template for the team
Results
- Comparison pages reached #1 on Google for their target searches
- Brought in around 300 organic visitors per month
- One page got enough attention that the competitor featured in it complained

How 4 comparison guides increased Feature Upvote's organic traffic by 95.9%
Steve first hired us in 2024 to improve Feature Upvote’s comparison content, back when the product was aimed at SaaS and product teams.
- Updated four existing comparison guides to better match search intent
- Turned a feature voting how-to article into a hybrid guide that also compared relevant tools
- Wrote additional comparison content around bottom-of-the-funnel searches
Later that year, Feature Upvote shifted its focus to video game companies. Steve needed the homepage to reflect the new positioning in time for an event 3 weeks away.
- Analyzed existing customer interviews to understand the new audience
- Created a messaging guide covering their pain points, desired outcomes, relevant features, and proof
- Wrote and mocked up the new homepage
- Worked with the designer to get it shipped before the event
The new audience found tools through Discord groups and recommendations from other studios, so search-led comparison content became less useful. Steve started a podcast for video game community managers instead. We used it as the source for the next stage of the content strategy.
- Reviewed the podcast archive and found themes that came up across multiple interviews
- Wrote community management guides built around advice and quotes from podcast guests
- Interviewed video game customers and turned their experiences into customer stories
Results
- +95.9% average increase in organic traffic across the four updated comparison guides
- Shipped the repositioned homepage within the three-week deadline, with no further rewrite needed

Steve McLeod
Founder @ Feature Upvote
We had recently repositioned to serve the video games industry, but our homepage didn't yet reflect that. A major industry event was just weeks away, giving us a firm deadline to rewrite and redesign our home page. It needed to say to our new target customer, "you are in the right place and we can solve your problem."
I had seen Nicolas's work with other companies, and had worked with him in the past. He has a rare combination of understanding the fundamentals of B2B SaaS and knowing how to create web pages that achieve business goals. So I knew he was the right person to do this project well.
Right on time (another rare thing!) we launched our new homepage. Now when our target customers land on our homepage, they know they are in the right place. Almost immediately, we started getting more trial signups from our new target niche.

What working together actually looks like
The case studies show the outcomes. These answers explain how we choose the work, collaborate with your team, and measure progress.
What happens during the first month?
We interview the people who know your product and customers best, document why buyers choose you, audit your existing content, research competitors, and find the strongest search opportunities. That gives us the context to make good decisions before we start publishing.
How much time will you need from our team?
We need more input at the beginning, usually through interviews with the founder and the people closest to the product, customers, and sales process. After that, most collaboration happens asynchronously, with a monthly call and unlimited async communication when something comes up.
Do you follow the same plan for every client?
The starting point depends on what is holding growth back. Hyperping needed technical cleanup and sharper positioning before we rebuilt its comparison content. Feature Upvote changed its target market, so we moved from search-led guides to a new homepage, customer stories, and podcast-based content.
How do you decide what to work on first?
We look at buyer intent, business priorities, current rankings, competitor activity, and what your team can realistically support. The first pages are the ones with the best chance of reaching buyers who are already comparing options.
Can you work with our existing team or agency?
Yes. We have worked alongside founders, product teams, designers, developers, SEO consultants, and paid acquisition specialists. We document the strategy and research so the people around us can use it in their own work.
How do you measure whether the work is paying off?
Rankings, impressions, and clicks show whether the content is gaining visibility. When tracking allows it, we connect that performance to trial signups, new paying customers, conversion rates, and MRR. A useful report shows how the work contributes to business growth.
Why did some of these engagements expand beyond comparison content?
The research often uncovers a positioning, pricing, homepage, or lifecycle problem that would limit what comparison content could achieve. When that happens, we can fix the wider customer journey too when the work fits our expertise.
